"TO EDUCATE TO FREEDOM WITH THE POWER OF LOVE".
A brief description of the educational mission of the Pallottine Sisters in Argentina. (17 January 2020)
On the initiative of a layman, L.M. Severi and Fr. Guillermo, the first Pallottine Sisters were called to serve the little ones in Turdera, Argentina. They, like Mary, they too, in uncertainty, in the face of the unknown, replied: "Let it be done...".
Seventy-seven years have passed since that call to the lands of Argentina. Over the years the mission of the Sisters has undergone several changes, always trying to be faithful to the signs of the times, contributing to the New Evangelization in the place and mission in which we find ourselves. As Paul VI said: "To evangelize is to transform from within". Like John "to transmit what we have contemplated" all with the ardor that St. Vincent Pallotti would do.
At present the sisters dedicate themselves to the educational-pastoral mission, being an active presence and trying to give witness in their daily life to the charism and spirituality left by St Vincent Pallotti, as well as contributing to the integral human formation of all those who are part of the educational community, to give evangelical (from the Gospel) and meaningful responses to the complex and demanding reality in which we are immersed.
Currently the school has 1100 students from 2 to 17 years old, its population is of lower middle class. Together with the laity we try to achieve the school's objectives, which include: intellectual-spiritual formation, complete preparation (significant, critical) to act in a family social environment and the orientation of our life towards supernatural values, towards a Christianity understood in all its greatness, embracing all its commitments, radiated in our daily living and acting.
As members of the Union of Catholic Apostolate, we seek to be a presence of animation and collaboration within the local Council of Lomas de Zamora together with the laity in the various activities (formation, celebrations, meetings).
