July 2019: The Integrity of Justice “The work of justice shall be peace”
(Is 32:17)
Justice is a fundamental theme in the Bible. "For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him" Isaiah 30:18). Pope Francis' prayer intention for the month of July is precisely justice. He said: "let us pray that those who administer justice may work with integrity, and that the injustice which prevails in the world may not have the final word".
Numerous members of our Pallottine Family are working in countries where there are ongoing conflicts and mass injustices. The children and the most vulnerable people in the society are the ones most affected by them. We owe our gratitude to our Pallottine priests, sisters and lay men and women who work hard to alleviate the sufferings of the people. They are the messengers of hope and life.
For the first time, our website www.weareamission. org has gathered information and photos from the countries of conflicts where the Pallottines are working. While reading through these materials, kindly also say a prayer for our missionaries and the people for whom they are working. May the peace Christ reign on earth. It is also an invitation to each one of us to engage with great commitment in the promotion of justice and integral development of God's creation, especially the human persons.
