Greetings from Rome. In preparation for the joyful event of the liturgical celebration of the Feast Day of Blessed Elisabetta Sanna on February 17th, we invite you to pray to her the attached Novena, beginning on February 9th. Hopefully it will become a tradition in the Pallottine Family. The Novena can also be prayed at any other time of the year.

In preparazione per l'evento gioioso della celebrazione liturgica della festa della Beata Elisabetta Sanna il 17 febbraio, vi invitiamo a pregare la Novena allegata, a partire 9 febbraio. Auguriamo che diventerà una tradizione nella Famiglia Pallottina. Si può anche pregare la Novena in qualsiasi altro periodo dell'anno.

THE XXVIII WORLD DAY OF THE SICK 2020

National Assembly of the Union of Catholic Apostolate in Brazil

The National Assembly of the Union of Catholic Apostolate (UAC) was held from 7 to 9 February 2020 at the Mother of Divine Love Pallottine Seminary, Curitiba/PR.
The members of the National Council and of the Local Councils were present, as well as the Superiors of the Fathers and Brothers of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (SAC) and representatives of the Pallottine Sisters.
Gilberto Orsolin SAC (President of the UAC in Brazil and World Vice President of the UAC) and then the participants went to adoration of the Blessed Sacrament to ask for God's grace and the necessary gifts for the better conducting of the assembly.
On 8th day opened in the morning with the celebration of the Eucharist, presided by Fr. Valdeci Antônio de Almeida SAC - responsible for the formation of the UAC in Brazil. Francisco Cota de Oliveira, auxiliary bishop of Curitiba. He developed the new general guidelines of the Church that the CNBB presents under four pillars, and was thus able to demonstrate how the UAC can experience the Church from the Word, the Bread, the Mission and Charity, with emphasis on the urban culture factor.

Following the program, Father Gilberto SAC presented the evaluation of the work of the National Council during 2019; the financial report was also presented, by Econome Leossandro, and proposals for changes in the regulations.
In the afternoon, the elections for the new National Council of the UAC were held.
The elected members are:

President: Dayse da Conceição Barros da Conceição;
Vice- president: Padre Francisco José Marques Filho SAC;
Secretáry: Daniele da Silva Carvalho;
Vice-Secretáry: Ir. Marinês Pivatto CSAC;
Ecônomo: Leossandro Carlos Adomiski;
Consellors: Júlio A. Lourenço, Vera Regina Tavares Santos, Maria A. Pereira, Ir. Maria do Espírito Santo da Silva.

On the last day of the Assembly, in the morning, there was the Holy Mass presided by Fr. Clesio Facco SAC, Provincial of the Province of Our Lady of Conquest, Santa Maria/RS, and the inauguration of the new National Council. Gilberto SAC presented the theme "Synod of the Amazon and the implications for UAC" to the participants of the assembly. At the end of the Assembly, the new president of the National UAC presented dates of UAC events and thanked all those present for their commitment. May Mary Queen of Apostles and St. Vincent Pallotti intercede for the new National Council so that it may impel the whole of Brazil to proclaim the Gospel. (See more)

COMMITMENT OF NEW MEMBERS TO U.A.C in india

On 2nd of February on the feast of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus 6 new members made their committment as UAC members at Assagoa, Goa, Pallottine Seminary in the presence of very Rev Fr. Valerian Charles Fernanded, Provincial of Assumption Province, Bangalore and the Coordinator Rev. Fr. Frank Pinto. The mass was concelebrated by five Pallottine priests. The commitment and renewal was made after the sermon. It was a wonderful moment for the existing members as they renewed their committment. Fr. Frank welcomed them and introduced them to the Provincial. The Provincial then led them to reflection and conducted the adoration. The brothers put up a beautiful programme for them followed by 2 years report of their NCC activities by Brazina. The celebration concluded with the agape meal. It was indeed a memorable day.

On Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 5.00 p.m. – at the House of the Eucharistic Sisters in S. Prisco (CE) – a conference was held on the theme: “The Eucharistic Apostolate in Mother Anna Sardiello” attended by about one hundred people. After the greeting of Bishop Salvatore Visco, Archbishop of Capua, the Mother General of the Eucharistic Sisters – Sister Angelina Monaco – presented the life and current activities of the Eucharistic Sisters. The Indian Pallottine Sr. Letizia Pinto along with other members of the priests and brothers do prison ministry in Karnataka, India. Inspired by the charism of Pallotti they visit the prisoners and talk to them, listen them, conduct various programs to inculcate love of Christ and make them happy. We wish them God’s blessings in their ministry

The feast of St. Pallotti was grandly celebrated in the Parish St. Vincent Pallotti for a week in Alleppey district of Kerala, India. On the feast day St. Vincent Pallotti's statue was taken for the procession to bless the surrounding places and the sea. The faithful pray for the protection from natural calamities as people over there are fisher men.
